The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation‘s Annual Legislative Conference is over. (Everyone say “Awwwww!” together!) And at the bevy of receptions over the weekend, there were plenty of celebrities we spied. Here’s a run down of who we spotted.
R&B singer Chrisette Michele was the featured musical guest at Cathy Hughes‘ cocktail reception inside the Convention Center. (What was super cute was that her boyfriend, who was featured on R&B Divas, was also on stage performing with her. The two exchanged glances a number of times, especially during her performance of “A Couple of Forevers.”)
El Debarge and Doug E. Fresh also surprised guests at the reception.
Oh yeah, Cathy Hughes’ event had the distinction of having the best gift bag of the weekend. Thanks girl!
At Southern Company‘s reception on Friday night inside the Ronald Regan Building and International Trade Center, Al Sharpton and his daughters were spotted flashing smiles with actress Jasmine Guy.
Actor Hosea Chanchez was spotted every day during the conference — including at the dinner and afterwards at the New York/Illinois reception inside the National Portrait Gallery.
Judge Greg Mathis was spotted participating in ALC events, with his sons.
Rapper Rakim was spotted at the New York/Illinois reception too. And no, he wasn’t parlaying up in VIP. We spotted him close to the dance floor, just chilling.
Trina and Towanda Braxton — who are also Maryland natives — came home to do CBC Week. Here they are with Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
The two were also spotted at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
